Shree Annapurna Mandir
The Shree Annapurna Mandir, also known as Annapurna Mata Mandir, is one of the most famous Hindu temples in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It is dedicated to Goddess Annapurna, the goddess of food and nourishment, who is a form of Goddess Parvati. The temple was constructed in the 18th century by Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I.
The temple is built in the Nagara architectural style and features a large pillared porch. Inside, there are two idols of Goddess Annapurna: one made of gold and the other of brass. The brass idol is available for daily darshan (viewing and worship), while the gold idol can be seen only once a year on the day of Annakut.
The temple is located in the Visheshwarganj area, near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is a popular pilgrimage site where devotees come to pray for good health, prosperity, and bountiful harvest.
