Sidhu Kanhu Park
Sidhu Kanhu Park, located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, is a serene green space spread across 8.9 acres, offering a peaceful environment for walking and relaxation. The park was built in memory of Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu, leaders of the Santhal rebellion in the 1850s, who fought against British colonial rule and the oppressive zamindar system.
Situated in Morhabadi, just three kilometers from Ranchi Railway Station, the park provides a refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Over time, it was handed over to the Jharkhand State Forest Development Corporation and later transferred to 'Jharparks' in May 2018.
