Srivari Mettu is a sacred pedestrian route leading to the Tirumala temple in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. It is considered the shortest and easiest trekking path to reach Tirumala, covering a distance of approximately 2.1 kilometers with 2,388 steps.
Many pilgrims prefer Srivari Mettu over the longer Alipiri Mettu route due to its manageable climb and shaded pathway. According to legend, Lord Venkateswara himself traveled this route from Srinivasa Mangapuram to Tirumala after his marriage to Goddess Padmavati.
The path is well-maintained with facilities such as drinking water, resting areas, and luggage transport services. Pilgrims who take this route receive tokens for Divya Darshan, allowing them a special entry for temple worship.
