Sun Temple, also known as Surya Mandir, is a revered Hindu temple located near Bundu, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dedicated to Lord Surya (the Sun God), the temple was built in 1991 by Sanskriti Vihar, a charitable trust led by Shri Sita Ram Maroo.
The temple is designed in the shape of a giant chariot, featuring 18 intricately carved wheels and seven majestic horses, symbolizing the seven days of the week and the seven colors of visible light. The complex also houses shrines for Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha, along with a holy pond where devotees take ritual baths during Chhath Puja.
