Tera Fort
Tera Fort is one of the many historical forts in the Kutch district of Gujarat. It is situated in the village of Tera, near Abdasa Taluka, approximately 85 kilometers west of Bhuj. The fort is strategically located on the banks of three lakes known as Chattasar, Sumerasar, and Chatasar.
The fort was built by one of the Jadeja Chiefs during the reign of Deshalji I (1718-1741). It played a significant role in the history of Kutch, especially during the reign of Maharao Lakhpatji (1741-1760).
The fort was heavily damaged during a war when artillery power was used for the first time in the history of Kutch. Despite the damage, the fort was later repaired and continues to be a significant historical site.
