Tonglu is a small settlement and one of the higher peaks of the Singalila Ridge, located inside Singalila National Park in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, near the India-Nepal border. Situated at an elevation of about 3,070 meters (10,072 feet), Tonglu serves as a popular stop for trekkers on the Sandakphu trail, offering guest houses and homestays for visitors.
It provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas, including Mt. Kanchenjunga, and on clear days, the Koshi River is visible below. The area is known for its rhododendron forests, alpine vegetation, and a peaceful ambiance ideal for nature lovers and trekkers.
