Tripolia Gateway
Tripolia Gateway in Mahendragarh, Haryana, is a historic three-storied entrance built in rubble masonry with a thick layer of lime plaster. It was constructed by Shah Quil Khan, a noble in Emperor Akbar’s court, who also served as the Governor of Punjab in 1575 AD.
The gateway was originally part of the Aram-i-Kausar garden, which Shah Quil Khan developed in Narnaul. The interior walls and ceilings of the gateway feature ornamental carvings, and an inscription above the entrance records details about the garden and its construction.
