The Uttareswar Shiva Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in Cuttack, Odisha. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is situated on the northern embankment of the Bindusagar tank, near the famous Lingaraj Temple. According to local tradition, the temple is named "Uttareswar" because it is located on the northern side of the tank.
The temple is one of the four pithas (sacred seats) in Bhubaneswar, with the others being Yoga pitha at Kharakhia Baidyanath, Bhoga pitha at Lingaraj, and Siddha Pitha at Kedara Gouri temple.
Uttareswar is known as the Tantra pitha. The temple complex includes statues of Bhairava and Bhairavi on both sides of the entrance to the Garbha Gruha (sanctum sanctorum).
