It was built in 1969 by Japanese monk Nichidatsu Fujii and the Nipponzan Myohoji organization as a symbol of peace and harmony. The stupa features four golden statues of Buddha, each representing different stages of his life: birth, enlightenment, preaching, and death.
Visitors can reach the stupa via a ropeway, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area, or by climbing the serpentine staircase. The stupa is surrounded by a large park and a small Japanese Buddhist temple, making it a serene and picturesque spot for reflection and meditation.
