Coimbatore is a district located in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated in the western part of Tamil Nadu and is known as the Manchester of South India due to its thriving textile industry. Coimbatore is the second-largest city in Tamil Nadu and is an important commercial and educational hub in the region.

The district is bordered by the Nilgiris district in the north, Palakkad district of Kerala in the west, and the districts of Tiruppur and Erode in the east.
