Dungarpur is a district located in the southern part of the state of Rajasthan, India. It is situated in the foothills of the Aravalli Range and is known for its scenic beauty. The district shares its borders with the districts of Udaipur, Banswara, and Gujarat.

Dungarpur has a rich historical and cultural heritage. It was founded in the 13th century by Rawal Veer Singh, a prince of the Sisodia dynasty of Mewar. The district takes its name from the Dungar (hill) on which the Dungarpur Fort is built.
