Khowai is a district located in the state of Tripura, India. It is situated in the western part of Tripura and is bordered by the districts of West Tripura to the south, North Tripura to the north, and Sepahijala to the east. The district headquarters of Khowai is the town of Khowai.
Khowai district covers an area of approximately 1,003 square kilometers and has a population of around 5 lakh (as of 2021). The district is predominantly rural, with agriculture being the main occupation of the people.
