Lawngtlai is a district located in the state of Mizoram, India. It is situated in the southern part of Mizoram and shares its borders with Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). Lawngtlai district covers an area of approximately 2,550 square kilometers.
The district headquarters is also named Lawngtlai, which is a town situated on the banks of the river Chhimtuipui (also known as Kaladan River). Lawngtlai town serves as an important administrative and commercial center for the district.
