Washim District is located in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is situated in the Vidarbha region of the state. Washim town is the administrative headquarters of the district.
Washim District covers an area of approximately 5,150 square kilometers and is bordered by Akola District to the north, Amravati District to the northeast, Hingoli District to the southeast, and Buldhana District to the southwest.
