The Adamgarh Hills are located in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. These hills are famous for their prehistoric rock shelters and rock paintings. Archaeological excavations have uncovered Stone Age artifacts, lower Paleolithic, and Mesolithic implements in the area.
The rock shelters feature Neolithic paintings that were discovered during the 19th century. Out of the 18 shelters found, 11 are still visible today.
