The Bai Harir Vav, also known as the Dada Harir Vav, is a beautiful stepwell located in the Asarwa area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Built in 1499 under the supervision of Sultan Begada's harem, this stepwell is a fine example of traditional Indian architecture. It features five levels of intricately carved stone columns that support the structure, leading down to two small wells.

The stepwell is not only a marvel of engineering but also a serene oasis in the bustling city. The cool depths of the stepwell provide a respite from the heat, and the overflow channels at the top are a reminder of times when water tables were much higher. Behind the stepwell, you'll find the 16th-century Dai Halima Mosque, which contains the mausoleum of a royal midwife named Halima, adorned with elegant jali screens.
