Chong Kumdang Ri refers to two prominent peaks, Chong Kumdang Ri I and Chong Kumdang Ri II, located in the Rimo Karakoram sub-range of the Transhimalaya in Ladakh, near the northern side of Mamostong Kangri. Chong Kumdang Ri I stands at an elevation of 7,071 meters (23,199 feet) with a prominence of 871 meters, while Chong Kumdang Ri II reaches 7,004 meters (22,979 feet) with a prominence of 644 meters.
These peaks are among the highest in their group and lie in a remote, rugged area of the Karakoram range. They are noted for their challenging terrain and have limited climbing records, with the first ascent of Chong Kumdang Ri II documented in 2008 by an Indo-French team, while Chong Kumdang Ri I's first ascent details remain less recorded.
