Deer Park (Bir Moti Bagh)
The Bir Moti Bagh Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Deer Park, is located about 5 kilometers from Patiala city. Spread over 654 hectares, it was once the royal family's prized hunting reserve and was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1952.
Today, it is home to a variety of indigenous wildlife, including chital, hog deer, peafowl, myna, and partridge. The sanctuary is particularly popular during the winter months (October to January) when migratory birds can be spotted. It also offers facilities like washrooms and a cafeteria for visitors.
Don't forget to carry a reusable water bottle and a hat or umbrella if you're visiting in the summer.
