The Durga Bhavani Temple, also known as the Shanthadurga Temple, is an ancient temple situated on the peak of Sadashivgad hill fort in Karwar, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is believed to have been constructed around 1665 CE.
The main sanctum sanctorum houses an idol of Goddess Durga sitting on a lion, which is a captivating sight for devotees.
The temple has historical significance as it was visited by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who renovated the temple and gave the rights of worship to the local Bhandari family.
