Gauhar Mahal
Gauhar Mahal, also known as Gohar Mahal, is a historical palace located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Built in 1820 by Qudisiya Begum, the first female ruler of Bhopal, the palace is a beautiful blend of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. It is situated along the serene Upper Lake and is just behind another popular attraction, Shaukat Mahal.
The three-storied palace features stunning exteriors with intricate decorations and designs. The interiors are adorned with beautiful artwork, historical paintings, and wooden artifacts.
The palace originally had two courtyards: the Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), though these areas are currently closed for public viewing.
