The Historical Museum and Research Centre in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, was established on Maharashtra Day, May 1, 1960. Initially a small two-room museum, it has since grown to house an impressive collection of over 12,000 manuscripts, 8,000 coins, and 50,000 historical documents.
The museum also features fascinating artifacts such as a 166-meter-long horoscope and a London-printed map of India from 1816.
The museum is located at Hutatma Chowk, near the Collector's Office, and is open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Thursday. It's a must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone interested in exploring the rich heritage of the region.
