Jwalpa Devi Temple is a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Jwalpa, a form of Goddess Parvati, located in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Situated on the northern bank of the Nawalika River, the temple is approximately 34 kilometers from Pauri on the main Pauri-Kotdwar road.
It holds immense religious significance, particularly for devotees seeking blessings for marriage and prosperity. According to legend, Shachi, the daughter of Daityaraj Pulom, performed penance at this site to receive Indra as her husband, and Goddess Parvati granted her wish, appearing as Deept Jwaleswari.
The temple is traditionally managed by the Anthwal family, who have been its caretakers since its construction by Pandit Shri Dutta Ram Anthwal. It is considered the Kuladevi of the Thapliyal and Bisht clans. The temple hosts two major Navaratri festivals annually, during Chaitra and Sharad Navaratri, attracting devotees from far and wide.
