KV Paradise
KV Paradise, also known as the Mizo Taj Mahal, is a beautiful monument located in Aizawl, Mizoram. Built by Mr. Khawlhring in memory of his late wife, Varte, who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2001, this three-story structure stands on a hilltop at Durtlang. Often referred to as the "Mizo Taj Mahal," it offers panoramic views of Aizawl city.
The mausoleum houses life-size statues of the couple, photographs, Varte's belongings, and her intricately designed grave. Unlike the marble grandeur of the actual Taj Mahal, KV Paradise is built from synthetics, reflecting a contemporary symbol of devotion.
The surrounding area is tranquil and not commercialized, maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.
