The Kodasalli Power House has an installed capacity of 3 x 40 MW, with three generating units consisting of vertical Kaplan turbines, synchronous generators, and transformers. The power house was commissioned in 1998-99.
In addition to generating electricity, the dam is a major source of irrigation for the surrounding rural areas, supporting crop production and other agricultural activities. The dam is situated in the picturesque Western Ghats, making it a scenic spot for visitors. The nearest major town is Karwar.
