The Kotipalli Someswara Swamy Temple, also known as Koti Theertham, is a significant Hindu temple located on the banks of the Godavari River in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Someswara Swamy and is one of the Pancharama Kshetras (five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva).
According to legend, the temple was established by Lord Indra, Lord Chandra, and Kasyapa Maharshi to atone for their sins. The temple is known for its sacred waters, believed to purify devotees from all sins. The temple also features idols of Siddhi Janardhana Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi as Kshetra Palaka (protectors of the sacred place).
