Manimahesh Lake, located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, is a sacred high-altitude lake situated at about 4,080 meters on the Pir Panjal Range near the Manimahesh Kailash peak.

Legend says the lake was created by Shiva, and it is associated with many myths including Shiva's meditation and marriage to Goddess Parvati. Pilgrims undertake an annual trek known as the Manimahesh Yatra during August or September, covering around 14 kilometers from the base village of Hadsar with a night halt at Dhanchho.
The journey includes stops at several spiritually important sites and culminates in a holy dip in the lake's pure waters, believed to cleanse sins and bring peace.
