Mazagon Fort in Mumbai, Maharashtra, was a British fort built around 1680 on Mazagon Island, which was part of the group of islands forming old Bombay. The fort was constructed to protect British interests against frequent attacks by the Siddis, allies of the Mughals.

In 1689, the Siddi general Yakut Khan captured and later razed the fort in 1690 after battles with the British. The fort once overlooked the eastern coastline and was strategically important in defending the harbor. Now, the original fort no longer exists, and the site where it once stood is occupied by Joseph Baptista Gardens and the Bhandarwada Hill water reservoir, which supplies water to parts of Mumbai.

The area remains a popular recreational spot with historical significance linked to Mumbai’s colonial past.
