Morbe Dam is a gravity dam located near Khalapur in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The dam was constructed on the Dhavari River and is a key water source for the city of Navi Mumbai. It stands at an elevation of 59.1 meters (194 feet) and has a length of 3,420 meters (11,220 feet).
Built by the Water Supply and Sanitation Department of the Government of Maharashtra, the construction of the Morbe Dam began in 1999 and was completed in 2006. The dam's reservoir, known as Morbe Lake, provides a picturesque spot for visitors, especially during the monsoon season.
