Our Lady of Purification Church
Our Lady of Purification Church, also known as the Port Kollam Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church situated near Kollam Port in Kerala. Established by St. Thomas the Apostle in 52 CE, it is one of the oldest churches in Kerala and part of the "Ezharapallikal," the seven and a half churches founded by St. Thomas.
Over its long history, the church has faced destruction by sea erosion multiple times, but the faith of its community remains unwavering. The present structure, blessed in 1993 by Bishop Joseph G. Fernandez, stands as a testament to this enduring legacy.
