Owk Reservoir, located near Owk village in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, is a large earthen dam built across the Paleru River, a tributary of the Krishna River. Constructed in 1946, it serves as a balancing reservoir comprising three smaller dams – Paleru, Gollaleru, and Thimmaraju Cheruvu – which were raised to form the current reservoir.
Covering more than 1,000 acres, it is a vital source of irrigation in the Rayalaseema region and provides drinking water to nearby villages and towns.
