Phool Chatti Ashram

Phool Chatti Ashram in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, is one of India’s oldest and most revered yoga and meditation centers, with a history of over 140 years. Founded by Sadhu Sri Devi Dayal Ji Maharaj in the late 1800s, it is nestled in the Himalayan foothills near the sacred river Ganga and surrounded by hills and gardens, giving the place its name which means "land of flowers."

The ashram offers a traditional Hindu spiritual living experience with a focus on authentic Hatha and Ashtanga yoga practices, meditation, and spiritual growth. It provides facilities such as spacious yoga halls, meditation rooms, gardens, and direct river access. Since 1977, the ashram has been led by Swami Dev Swarup Nanda Ji and Yogini Lalita Nand Ji, who guide yoga retreats drawing students from around the world.

Visitors often come for the peaceful atmosphere, yoga sessions, spiritual talks, evening rituals like bhajan chanting, and a vegetarian diet emphasizing mindfulness. Phool Chatti serves as a serene retreat for both beginners and experienced practitioners seeking internal peace and connection with nature and spirituality in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is located about 10 kilometers from the town of Rishikesh and accessible by road.
