Puthenkavil Bhagavathy Temple
The Puthenkavil Bhagavathy Temple in Kurampala, Pathanamthitta, Kerala is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy (Bhadrakali). An interesting legend surrounds its origins: it is said that a saintly man from the Palappallil family traveled to Kodungallur, where the goddess bestowed upon him part of her spiritual strength.
On his return, the villagers built the temple to honor this divine connection.
The temple houses an eight-handed Bhadrakali Kolam made from hardwood of the jack tree and enshrines other idols, including Lord Ganesha, Adavi, Yakshi, Madan, Marutha, Moorthy, Anamarutha, and Ghantakarnan. It's located about 8 km from Adoor, along the Pandalam-Adoor route.
