Ramalingeswara Temple
The Ramalingeswara Temple, also known as the Ramappa Temple, is a stunning example of Kakatiya architecture located in Palampet village, near Mulugu district in Telangana. Built in 1213 CE by Recharla Rudra Reddy, a general of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Ramalingeswara Swamy.
The temple is renowned for its intricate carvings, beautiful sculptures, and unique architectural style. It was designed by the sculptor Ramappa, after whom the temple is named, making it the only temple in India named after its craftsman.
