Ranjankudi Fort is a historic fortress located about 22 kilometers north of Perambalur in Tamil Nadu. Constructed by the Vijayanagar Nayaka Kings and later occupied by the Nawab of the Carnatic, the fort played a significant role in the Battle of Valikondah in 1751, where British troops supported by Mohammed Ali defeated the French troops supported by Chanda Sahib.
The fort features three levels of fortifications, semicircular bastions, and a moat encircling it. It also has a palace, residence buildings, an underground chamber, and an underground passage linking the top level with the lower level.
