Saf Minal, also referred to as P. 6911, is a towering peak located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, India, rising to an elevation of 6,911 meters (22,674 feet). It ranks as the 21st highest peak located entirely within Uttarakhand and the 332nd highest peak in the world.
Positioned on the outer edge of the Nanda Devi National Park, Saf Minal is surrounded by glaciers such as Uttari Rishi Glacier and Bagini Glacier, which feed into the Dhauli Ganga river.
The peak was first ascended in 1975 by a Japanese team via the southeast ridge. Its remote and rugged terrain makes it a challenging destination for mountaineers while also being part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity and spectacular mountain landscapes. Saf Minal holds geographical and ecological significance within the region's protected national park area.
