The Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall, also known as the State Central Library, is a historic red building located on the edge of Cubbon Park in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Constructed in 1915 to honor Sir K. Seshadri Iyer, the Dewan of Mysore, the hall features a blend of local and European architectural styles.
The building is made mostly of brick and lime mortar, with a striking vertical facade flanked by two porticoes supported by granite pillars.
The State Central Library housed within the hall boasts an extensive collection of over 265,000 books, including rare volumes and a Braille section.
