The Sri Kattu Veera Anjaneya Temple is an ancient shrine located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Lord Anjaneya, also known as Hanuman, the temple is believed to be over 2,500 years old. Devotees visit the temple to seek blessings and fulfill their wishes.
One unique tradition at the temple is the offering of a saffron bag containing a coconut, betel leaves, and nuts. Devotees pay a small fee, make a wish, and perform 11 rounds of the temple while chanting the sacred mantra "Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram". The saffron bag is then kept inside the sanctum for three months, and if the wish is fulfilled, the devotee returns to claim the bag.
The temple also features a natural rock formation of Nandi, the bull, symbolizing the presence of Lord Shiva. This unique combination of deities makes the Sri Kattu Veera Anjaneya Temple a special and revered place for devotees.
