Located within the grounds of the Mysore Palace, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, specifically in the form of Lakshminarayana. The temple features a beautiful idol of Lord Lakshminarayana holding the discus and the conch.
The temple has a rich history, with inscriptions dating back to 1499, mentioning a grant from Vijayanagara King Narasa Nayaka. It was renovated and the temple tower was added in 1851 by Krishnaraja Wodeyar III.
