Sri Ulagalanda Perumal Temple, located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Constructed in the Dravidian architectural style, the temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, sacred shrines glorified in the Tamil hymns of the Alvar saints. Lord Vishnu is worshipped here in his Vamana avatar, also known as Trivikrama, where he is depicted as a giant measuring the universe in three strides.
The temple is believed to have been built by the Pallavas, with later contributions from the Cholas, Vijayanagara kings, and Madurai Nayaks. The main deity, Ulagalantha Perumal, is an imposing 35-foot-tall idol, and the temple complex also houses four Divya Desams within its premises. The sanctum features intricate carvings and a unique elevated roof to accommodate the deity's grandeur.
