The Wagheshwar Temple, located in the Wagholi area of Pune, Maharashtra, is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built from black basalt, the temple features intricate carvings of Hindu gods and goddesses on its walls.

The main deity, Lord Shiva, is enshrined in a sanctum sanctorum within the temple, and there is also a large Nandi statue, the bull vehicle of Lord Shiva, placed in front of the main deity.

According to legends, the temple was built by the Pandavas during their exile, adding to its historical significance. The temple complex includes a spacious mandap (hall) for gatherings and prayers, a serene pond, and a Nandi mandap, dedicated to the sacred bull.

The towering shikhara, the main spire, dominates the temple complex and is a testament to the craftsmanship of its builders.
