Yiga Choeling Monastery, also known as Ghoom Monastery, is one of the oldest and most popular Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
Situated at an elevation of 8,000 feet in Ghoom, about 8 kilometers from Darjeeling, the monastery was established in 1850 by the Mongolian monk and astrologer Sokpo Sherab Gyatso. It belongs to the Gelugpa or Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
