Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey, is a district located in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated on the Malabar Coast and is known for its picturesque backwaters, serene beaches, and network of canals. Alappuzha is often referred to as the "Venice of the East" due to its beautiful waterways.

The district covers an area of approximately 1,414 square kilometers and has a population of around 2.1 million people. It is bordered by the districts of Kottayam and Pathanamthitta to the east, Kollam to the south, and Ernakulam to the north.
