Gumla district is located in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated in the southwestern part of Jharkhand and is known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
It is bordered by the districts of Simdega to the west, Ranchi to the east, Latehar to the north, and Lohardaga to the south. Gumla is one of the 24 districts of Jharkhand and is part of the Palamu division. The district headquarters is located in Gumla town.
