Bharat Mata Temple, Haridwar

The Bharat Mata Mandir in Haridwar, also known as the Mother India Temple, is a unique and revered shrine dedicated to Bharat Mata, or Mother India. Built by Swami Satyamitranand Giri in 1983, the temple serves as a tribute to India, its heroes, culture, and deities. The seven-story structure showcases India's unity and diversity through various statues and murals.

On the ground floor, there is a marble map of India and a statue symbolizing Bharat Mata. The first floor features depictions of heroes and freedom fighters, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Jhansi ki Rani.

The second floor is dedicated to great women of India like Devi Ahilyabai, Savitri Mata, and Meerabai. The third floor honors saints such as Kabirdas, Tulsidas, and Sai Baba. The fourth floor is a large hall that presents Indian history, religion, and excellence in various fields. The fifth floor is devoted to Shakti Devis like Durga Mata, Parvati Mata, and Saraswati Mata.

The sixth floor is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his avatars, while the seventh floor honors Lord Shiva with depictions of the Himalayas in the background.
