Bherjan-Borajan-Padumoni Wildlife Sanctuary in Tinsukia, Assam, covers about 7.22 square kilometers and comprises three separate forest blocks named Bherjan, Borajan, and Padumoni.
Established in 1999, it is part of the Indo-Chinese tropical moist forest biome and is known for its rich biodiversity, including endangered primates like the hoolock gibbon, capped langur, slow loris, and various macaques. The sanctuary also hosts mammals such as leopards, wild pigs, and giant flying squirrels.
Birdwatchers can spot around 84 species including osprey, kingfisher, Indian pied hornbill, woodpecker, and drongo. With its dense tropical forests, the sanctuary serves as an important conservation area and a favorite spot for eco-tourism, especially from October to April when the weather is pleasant.
