Chandrashekhar Azad Park, also known as Alfred Park, is a historic public park located in the Georgetown area of Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh. Built in 1870 to commemorate the visit of Prince Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the park covers an area of 133 acres and is the largest park in the city.
The park is famous for its association with the Indian freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad, who sacrificed his life here on February 27, 1931, during a gunfight with the British police. The park features several notable landmarks, including the Victoria Memorial Canopy, the Allahabad Museum, the Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium, and the Prayag Sangeet Samiti.
