Chikka Gadiyara, also known as the Dufferin Clock Tower, is a historic landmark located at the end of Devaraja Market near Krishna Rajendra Circle in Mysuru, Karnataka. Built in 1886 to honor Lord Dufferin, the then Viceroy of British India, the clock tower was a symbol of time-keeping during the reign of the Wodeyars.
The structure features ornate carvings and is built on a foundation of eight pillars, with a decorated fountain at its center.
Despite its historical significance, the area around Chikka Gadiyara has faced neglect over the years. Efforts have been made to renovate and maintain the space, including the installation of stone benches, granite steps, and electrical lighting. However, the upkeep of the area remains a challenge.
