The Hill Fort Palace, located on Naubhat Pahad in Hyderabad, Telangana, is a historic royal palace with a fascinating past. Built in 1915 by Sir Nizamat Jung, who was the chief justice under the Nizam's rule, the palace was inspired by the architecture of Trinity College, Cambridge, where he studied.
The palace originally served as his residence for 15 years before being sold to the Nizam of Hyderabad, who later designated it as the residence of Prince Moazzam Jah.
The palace features 40 rooms, three banquet halls, and a swimming pool, showcasing a blend of Islamic and European architectural styles. Over the years, it has served various purposes, including being leased to the Ritz Hotel Company in 1955, where it operated as a luxury hotel until the late 1990s.
