Joysagar Temple
The Joysagar Temple, also known as Keshabrai Vishnu Dol, is located in Sivasagar, Assam. It is part of the Joysagar Tank and Temples complex, which was built by Swargadeo Rudra Singha in 1697 AD in memory of his mother, Joymoti Kunwari.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is a fine example of Ahom architecture, showcasing a blend of local techniques and Mughal influences.
The Joysagar Tank, one of the largest man-made lakes in India, covers an area of 318 acres and is home to various migratory birds. The temple complex also includes the Shiva Dol (Badyanath Shiva Dol) and the Devi Dol (Devaloya), dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga, respectively.
