Karha Fort, also known locally as Bhavani Dongar, is a medium-grade hill fort located near the village of Karhe in Satana taluka of Nashik district. The fort is situated at an elevation of about 2,890 feet on the Dundheshwar mountain range, forming part of a cluster of forts used as military outposts in the historic Baglan region.
The trek to the fort begins near Dodheshwar temple and involves passing through forested terrain before reaching the ruins spread across a plateau. Key features include carved stone gates, a rock staircase, caves, cisterns for water storage, and the restored temple of Goddess Bhavani at the summit. From the fort's top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of surrounding forts and peaks like Salher, Mulher, and Ratangad.
The fort sees limited visitors except during the annual festival celebrating Goddess Bhavani and offers a peaceful, historical trekking experience. Nearby is the ancient Shiv temple in Deolane village, known for its notable sculptures.
